God's Perfect Plan

So I realized that I haven't posted anything in awhile.  Life has been crazy busy lately!  This week I was on fall break so I had a lot of time to spend with my sweet boy and I loved every minute of it...however, I do not love that he used all of my internet time on my phone watching Chuckie Cheese videos on YouTube!  Anyway, it seems crazy to me to think that next year at this time I will have two boys to spend my fall break with.  I am so excited to meet our new sweet baby in March and a little nervous too.  Life changed so much after Maddox came and I know that another baby will bring even more change.  I am glad that we still have about 5 months to prepare for our new arrival and by prepare I mean sleep through the night!

Some women love being pregnant, I am not a huge fan of it.  Although, I am incredibly grateful and in awe of the miracle that is happening inside of me.  I am at the point in my pregnancy now that I can feel my sweet baby moving.  I have felt some movement since about 13 weeks this time which was much sooner then when I first felt Maddox around 16 weeks.  But now I am really feeling some big movements and can almost always feel him if I just sit or lay quietly for a minute.  This is the part of pregnancy that I do enjoy and that I will miss after I have him.

Most days I can't believe that I am so blessed.  l can't believe that God's plan was for me to get pregnant so quickly with this baby after trying for quite awhile with Maddox.  I am beyond thankful for God's perfect plan in my life and I give Him all the glory!

For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever."

Why I Love You A-Z

Timmy and I have been married 4 years!  It actually feels much longer though since I feel like I have known him forever (really since high school, but that pretty much was forever ago).  Since we are working hard on the debt freedom thing, we said that we weren't buying gifts for each other so I found an idea for a card/mini book on Pinterest that I changed up a bit.  This little project didn't cost me a thing to make (except for Maddox's precious nap time one day)!  Keep in mind that we aren't ooey gooey mushy love kind of people.  When we watch a movie together we prefer our own couches.  We don't snuggle or hold hands, it's just the way we are.  So, some of these are kind of silly but I knew he would appreciate them.

Why I Love You A-Z
A- You always hold the door open for me.
B- You are my best friend.
C- You help me clean the house.
D- You are the best Daddy in the world.
E- You tell me you love me every day.
F- Your faith in God.
G- You tell me I look good all the time.
H- You are a pretty good handyman... except when you flooded the whole house changing a sink faucet.
I- You love ice cream just as much as I do.
J- You work your hardest at every job you do.
K- You kill all the spiders I see.
L- You let me pick the movies.
M- I see so much of you in Maddox.
N- You make the best chicken noodle soup.
O- You can open all the jars and sippy cups when I can't.
P- You tell me about your plans for our future.
Q- You never quit or give up on anything.
R- You run around the house with Maddox acting silly and crazy all night.
S- You make so many sacrifces for our family.
T- I have complete trust in you.
U- You can always cheer me up.
V- You love vacations to the beach.
W- You act proud to have me as your wife.
X- My life with you is exactly how I want it to be.
Y- You say you're sorry when we argue.
Z- You are simply amazing.

Tonight while Timmy was driving us home he was going full speed while the car was slowing down in front of us, which drives me crazy.  At that point I felt the need to let him know that I also could have written a 10 Things I Hate About You card!

If anyone would like to see a much better example, my idea came from here:

A Little About Me

Well, I've decided to join the "blog world".  I guess I was inspired by all the blogs I've read since I have joined Pinterest.  Speaking of Pinterest, it has changed my life.  When I make my grocery list each week I have to pull up my food board to find recipes.  I am becoming as reliant on Pinterest as I am on Google!  Anyway, I guess my first blog post could be a little bit about me.

My name is Mindy.  I am married to my best friend, Timmy (aka Tim, T-Bo, TJ depending on who you are), and we have a wild, fun and sweet 2 year old boy, Maddox.  We also have a dog, Tucker, that sure has brought plenty of excitement to our lives!  Luckily since Maddox has come along, Tucker has calmed down a bit!  We are also blessed to have a lot of family that live close by and can be a part of our lives.

Since my husband says I can't be a stay at home mom, I am a special education teacher for kids with learning and behavior disorders for grades K-6.  I'll go ahead and respond to the comment that I get on most occasions...yes, it is challenging some days but most days it is fun and rewarding!  I think being a teacher is the next best thing to a stay at home mom because you still get to be with kids all day... oh yeah, and you get summers off!

I also really love taking pictures and learning about my camera and lighting for good pictures.  I am hoping that someday I will be good enough to do some photography in a more professional way.  For right now though, I will just keep practicing by taking a million pictures of Maddox, my nephew, and my niece (soon to be nieces).  The other day I walked in the living room and saw Maddox holding my phone up to his face with a big smile saying, "cheese".  It made me laugh because most times when I tell him to smile and say cheese, of course, he won't!

Some of my other interests are scrapbooking, reading, and shopping.  However, since I have a 2 year old and we are working on becoming debt free it pretty much means I don't have a lot of extra time and I don't have a lot of extra money for things like that right now.

Finally, probably the most important thing about me is that I love God.  I know that everything I have and everything I am is because of Him.  I go to God with everything.  I am almost incapable of making a decision without praying about it first.  I know that I am so unworthy of God's love, but He loves me anyway and for that I am so grateful.  I find my comfort, peace, strength and joy in Him.  My hope in this life is that I will be the person God has planned for me to be and that I can learn to be more like Jesus.

I guess that's it for today.  Maddox only has an hour left of nap time and I have some picking up to do around the house before he wakes up and destroys everything again!  Here's to hoping that I will have another blog post sometime in the year 2012! :)
